Current trends in digital, virtual and interactive technology
As of 2023, several trends were shaping digital, virtual, and interactive technology. Extended Reality (XR) continued to advance, with VR becoming more accessible and AR finding applications in retail and education. The concept of the metaverse gained traction, fostering interconnected digital environments. The rollout of 5G networks promised enhanced capabilities for digital experiences. AI-driven personalization tailored content to individual preferences, while remote collaboration tools facilitated virtual teamwork. Blockchain and NFTs provided authentication and monetization for digital assets. Gesture and voice control improved usability, and digital twins enabled real-time monitoring of complex systems. Ethical concerns around data privacy and digital addiction gained prominence. These trends reflect a dynamic landscape where technology evolves rapidly, influenced by advancements, societal changes, and ethical considerations.
These are some of the trends that I used in my animation:
Kinetic typography

Gradients
Research
Gradients: defined by four effect points, the positions and colors of which can be animated using the Positions & Colors controls. The gradient is composed of four solid-color circles blended together, each with an effect point as its center.
Kinetic typography: the technical name for "moving text"—is an animation technique mixing motion and text to express ideas using video animation. This text is presented over time in a manner intended to convey or evoke a particular idea or emotion.
liquid effect: a type of matter with specific properties that make it less rigid than a solid but more rigid than a gas. A liquid can flow and does not have a specific shape like a solid. Instead, a liquid conforms to the shape of the container in which it is held.
Bold typography: is commonly used for emphasis. Exactly how much heavier than the weight that precedes it (usually Regular, but possibly Medium), and exactly how much lighter than the weight that follows (usually Extra Bold or Black) is arbitrary, and down to the discretion of the type designer.

Reflection
Animation involves displaying a sequence of 2D or 3D images rapidly to create dynamic movement in videos, aiming to communicate ideas effectively. Exploring various interactive trends in animation and graphics, such as virtual reality, 3D designs, color gradients, and fluid motion, has been enlightening. For instance, incorporating fluid motion in a poster design, characterized by gentle, flowing movements, enhances audience engagement and influences their perception of the topic.
In a recent project focused on raising awareness about digital risks, I utilized After Effects to craft a compelling video. Employing a 4-color gradient and bezier warp effects, I created a visually striking descent reminiscent of waterfalls or waves, symbolizing action and excitement. Incorporating the Digital Glitch effect added a sense of urgency. Additionally, I emphasized the seriousness of the topic by repeating the phrase "digital risks" multiple times.
Furthermore, I integrated 3D elements and liquid effects to enhance the video's appeal and interactivity. These trends not only align with the project's theme but also captivate viewers with engaging movements. Through this design, I aimed to deliver a message effectively while captivating the audience's attention.
